Re: Wave Board or Ripstick?
Well I have a Wave, I never tryed the Ripstick, but they look the same just different decoration. Now if you buy the Wave DON'T GET DISCOURAGED!!! It is hard at first, but once you get it, it is SOOO cool. Plus, everyone will be staring at your board wondering what the heck it is lol. I think that it is best to learn going down a small hill, so you don't have to learn hwo to propel at first. It is best if someone stands beside you, so you can hold on to them, since it have 2 swivel wheels it's kinda hard, but don't worry you'll get it. Also, once you start getting tired your first day, go try it again the next day, because it is much easier. ANYWAYS... I love my Wave, especially because it is very unusual.

Re: Wave Board or Ripstick?
The waveboard is so much better the ripstick is just a copy of the wave the wave rules nothing could compare it is hard to ride the wave at first but keep trying.

i think they are basically the same. the ripstick is made of a cheaper material, but i don't think it really matters. the wheels on both the ripstick and the wave ware really quickly.

Re: Wave Board or Ripstick?
The ripstik is way better. I was riding my friends and after about 20 minutes I got it going really fast. Without going down hill. I raced my friend on his skateboard. The skateboard is too much work to use after you start getting used to the ripstik. So, if you get a ripstik, plan on forgetting on how to skateboard, learn how to kickflip a ripstik. Daredevil yeah.

Me and my friend have the wave but my other friends have the ripstick, the ripstick and wave are similar but if you want a longer lasting board get the wave board, even though they are harder to find it will last longer

Re: Wave Board or Ripstick?
there are not many tricks you can do on a ripstik, but you can ride sideways and do 360's

Re: Wave Board or Ripstick?
The waveboard is stiffer in the middle than the ripstick.
waveboard is also a little wider. I've got 2 waveboards and 2 ripsticks, heres what ive found out: Ripstick: -----------Speed: xxxxxxx Maneuverability: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -----Ease of use: xxxxxxxxxxxxx --------Durability: xxxxxxxxxxx Waveboard: -----------Speed: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Maneuverability: xxxxxx -----Ease of use: xxxxxxxxxx --------Durability: xxxxxxxx Last edited by picklecrash : 07-31-2007 at 10:20 AM. |

Re: Wave Board or Ripstick?
Same shit, i jsut got into this this past week, so its so funny that the day i return to boarding scene its the top post... coincidence... i think not!
Well anyway, i learned how to do this in about 15 minutes, perfectly, this is the 6th day ive been doing it, and it is the funnest shit ive ever done so far, i go to my friend mikes house every god damn day just to ride it... Ripstick and wave are the same thing, my friend robby showed me his ripstick 6 days ago, and im like "dude..." So the past 5 days ive been using my friend mikes wave board, its the same shit. Get whats cheaper.
